Drapery & curtains for the Bronx homes
The Bronx has Art Deco apartments on the Grand Concourse with corner windows and casements, Riverdale homes and co-ops with Hudson views, waterfront houses near Pelham Bay and City Island, and new buildings across the South Bronx. Custom drapery frames windows, softens sound, adds warmth and, with blackout lining, darkens rooms.
What matters in the Bronx
Architecture and character
Art Deco corner windows need two treatments that meet cleanly at the corner.
Noise
Busy avenues and highways make quieter rooms a common goal.
Warmth in winter
Older Art Deco and prewar windows can be drafty in winter.
Light at night
Street and building lights reach many bedrooms after dark.
