Solar & sheer shades for Brooklyn homes
Brooklyn has brownstones and rowhouses with tall parlor-floor and bay windows, converted warehouse lofts, and new waterfront towers with walls of glass. Solar shades cut glare, heat and UV while keeping the view, and pair with a second layer for night privacy.
What matters in Brooklyn
Walls of glass
New towers in Williamsburg, Greenpoint and DUMBO have wide glass with skyline views.
Sun and glare
West-facing glass toward Manhattan along the waterfront gets strong late-day sun, while brownstone back rooms often face shady gardens.
Privacy
Garden and parlor floors sit close to the sidewalk, so street-level privacy is a daily concern.
Tall and hard-to-reach windows
Parlor-floor windows can run nine feet or more, and lofts have windows set high on the wall.
Measured and installed in Brooklyn
Brownstone stoops, narrow stairs and street parking are part of the job. We mount hardware to protect original plaster and woodwork. Every window is measured in person, so everything fits exactly.
