Woven wood shades for the Bronx homes
The Bronx has Art Deco apartments on the Grand Concourse with corner windows and casements, Riverdale homes and co-ops with Hudson views, waterfront houses near Pelham Bay and City Island, and new buildings across the South Bronx. Woven wood shades add natural texture and warm, filtered light, with liners available for privacy.
What matters in the Bronx
Architecture and character
Art Deco corner windows need two treatments that meet cleanly at the corner.
Sun and glare
Riverdale windows facing the Hudson get strong afternoon sun off the water.
Privacy
Apartments on busy avenues need privacy at street level.
Warmth in winter
Older Art Deco and prewar windows can be drafty in winter.
